Contraception
Initially contraception must be discussed at an appointment with the doctor and any follow up appointments are made with the nurse. A full range of contraceptive services are available including the pill, injection and morning-after (emergency) contraception.
Health Promotion / Chronic Disease management
Screening of our practice population, offering health promotion advice and disease prevention are a vital part of our service to you. We offer regular monitoring for our patients with chronic diseases such as heart disease, circulatory problems, diabetes and asthma etc.
Cervical Smears
Wherever possible please book an appointment with the nurse.
Baby Clinics
Development and health checks, general advice and immunisations are given by the practice nurse/doctor
- Thursdays: 9.15am – 10.30am Routine injections (no appointment necessary).
- Thursday: 10.30am – 11am For 8wk checks.
Maternity Services
Antenatal Clinics (by appointment) are on Tuesdays from 13:30.
During the antenatal examination there is a monitor available for you to hear your baby’s heartbeat.
Once discharged from hospital after the birth of your baby you will be contacted by the surgery. Please remember to register your baby at the surgery. Post-natal checks are done six weeks after delivery – please make an appointment with the doctor.
